This bottleneck beauty can hold a single stem flower. It looks extremely graceful with a dried twig or two. But in the end, as she stands quietly on any mantle or desk, she is certain to bring a gentle pause to a hurried day.
She was made in my studio, here on the coast of Maine. I formed her on the potter's wheel using manganese imbedded stoneware clay body. The specks are a natural result of that clay body, which I believe, speaks softly of ancient times. I This is a one of a kind piece.
